Background
Having worked in the healthcare field for nearly 5 years, I noticed that there isn’t one place to help caregivers to get involved in bettering their emotional, mental, and/ or physical well being. Much of it is dispersed into 2 to 3 apps, various websites, and different phones to
contact in order to do these activities. I figure that creating a product that connects all of these resources in one place could be easier to find and use.
Problem
Helping health caregivers with receiving more resources to improve their wellness and well being in an efficient and effective way.

Total Participants: 5
Total Features: 2
Age Range: 20-40 years old
Genders: 3 females, 2 males
Task flow features includes: Attend a live workout room
Chat with a therapist
Attend a live workout:
Most of the participants were able to find the exercise room. Feedback that was presented was to make fewer pages to get to the exercise room, changing the exit icon and making this more distinguishable, and changing some of the photos to indicate where the “live workouts” were located.
Chat with a Therapist:
All of the participants had difficulty with finding “chat with the therapist” feature. This was due to the lack of labels associated with the illustrations. There was also feedback that stated to change the illustrations to real photos of people to showcase relatability. Having this feature be more recognizable was also the main feedback of all the participants. The link was mainly seen through the link on the sitemap.
The overall experience from beginning to end of this case study was a huge learning curve. There were a lot of new skills that I’ve learned through this project. Although research has not been my strong suit, I’ve come to get a better understanding that this is needed due to all the information that I wouldn’t have received had I not conducted the research in the beginning and the usability test. It gave me insights on what the user’s really needed and what areas I missed. It was great to receive the necessary feedback to improve the Wellness Hub mobile website. From the iterations so far, I would say that this product would be helpful resource for health caregivers who are wanting to improve and maintain a healthy lifestyle. There are definitely more iterations to be had with this product, but so far this is a straight forward product that will ensure a healthy work life balance for health caregivers to utilize.
